Introduction
KHostChooser is a drop-in replacement for the ugly chooser that
comes with X11.
We are well aware of the fact that there is a chooser now coming with
KDE2. There are two reasons why KHostChooser is around despite of this:
- KHostChooser is older than the KDE2 chooser: So when KHostChooser
was created, there was no native KDE2 chooser.
- KHostChooser supports features
that we need, but which are not part of the standard KDE2 chooser.
However, we hope that the KDE2 host chooser and KHostChooser will
finally get merged.
